CyberlinkCyberLink and Frontier Silicon to demonstrate multistandard Mobile DTV Solution at Computex 2007

Taipei, Taiwan, 6 June 2007: CyberLink Corp. (5203.TW), a world leader in digital home solutions, and Frontier Silicon, the UK-based mobile TV and digital audio semiconductor manufacturer, today announced the demonstration of a multistandard Mobile DTV solution on a PDA phone at Computex 2007.

CyberLink’s Mobile DTV Solution, in conjunction with Frontier’s Paradiso 1 IC (FS1030) is able to deliver advanced reception of mobile TV on handsets.  The Paradiso mobile TV multi-standard receiver and software driver platform can receive DVB-T/H, T-DMB/DAB broadcasts and, together with the CyberLink Mobile DTV “standard-agnostic” player, provides handset manufacturers with a multi-standard solution that is proven in the field and able to switch TV signals while traveling between different countries.

"CyberLink is excited to work with world-leading mobile TV and digital audio chip vendor, Frontier Silicon, to provide greater support for more digital TV standards for our customers,” said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink.  “As the leading software provider to enable TV on mobile devices, we are offering a complete and ready solution that provides the widest support for both head-end and terminal device providers.”

Anthony Sethill, CEO of Frontier Silicon said; “Frontier has concentrated on in-the-field performance, minimizing effects of multi-path fading and other artifacts found in urban environments.  Working with Cyberlink, we are optimizing the interaction between the underlying silicon and media player, to deliver best user-perceived mobile TV reception.”

The demonstration will take place in the CyberLink suite, Grand Hyatt Taipei, Room 1024 and 1049.
