Frontier Silicon technology at the heart of the first SIRIUS XM Internet radio
Las Vegas - 7th January 2010: Frontier Silicon, the market-leading supplier of digital radio technology worldwide, is pleased to announce its Internet connected audio module “Venice 6” is the core technology driving SIRIUS XM’s first tabletop Internet radio TTR1.
Frontier Silicon worked in close collaboration with SIRIUS XM engineering to define and deliver a state-of-the-art radio which seamlessly connects to a wired or wireless home network and delivers crystal clear SIRIUS XM radio via a highly intuitive user interface.

The Venice 6 solution features wired Ethernet and Wi-Fi certified connectivity to SIRIUS XM’s online radio service. The accompanying application software provides full audio decode and graphical display drivers along with easy to use controls via an incredibly intuitive user interface.
The TTR1 provides a complete listening solution for subscribers who want to use their high-speed Internet connection to access SIRIUS XM's online channels without the need for a computer. It includes a unique network connection wizard that walks users through a few simple steps to set up and access the online channels.
