The Chorus chip is a super-integrated, ultra low-power single chip digital radio baseband IC with extensive on-chip peripherals
and optimised for Eureka-147 Digital Audio Broadcast decoding. It is
programmable and flexible based on the revolutionary multi-threaded META™ DSP
and general purpose processor core from Imagination Technologies. This
programmability also makes it an ideal solution for forthcoming mobile
TV standards such as T-DMB.
For a complete DAB implementation, all that
is required is external front-end RF, audio D-to-A, Boot FLASH and keypad/display.
Through the multi-threaded
META™ DSP Chorus handles real time radio demodulation
and user interface processing on the same processor. The processing power
and flexibility of the FS1010 makes it ideal for demanding
functions such as surround sound decoding, audio encoding or advanced
data service decoding.
